I am a recent graduate of Salon Institute, and I have to say my experience was AMAZING. The environment is so uplifting, the teachers are always willing to help with anything and everything, all of the staff are beyond nice and will do anything to help you. The education you receive truly is the best! Over all, my experience at this school was amazing and I am so beyond happy I went to this School! I gained so much knowledge, and amazing friendships with students and the staff that will last a lifetime! The staff will even continue to help you after you graduate, with either advice, or job help! Everyone is so caring, and the campus itself is beautiful! I highly recommend this School to anyone who wishes to be a cosmetologist, or even someone who would love to go in and get their hair done!
If you are going for a facial - be aware it is a mini facial that only lasts 20 minutes. They basically wash your face with nice products and then send you on your way. My student was very nice but I would not go back for a facial again. When the teacher asked me how my facial was and I let her know that it was the quickest student facial I have ever had - all she had to say was that it depends on where the student is in her program and that we just do the basics here. Well - then you should say that on your menu of services and the price should reflect that as well.
Because of this school I am beyond in debt . At the time of my starting of school I was a single mother of 2 children ages 2 and 6 months I had no help on weekends with watching them (saturdays) and we had school every other sat . I tried my best to be at school on that day and I struggled. I had dreams of always doing hair , make-up and building up my self esteem since the age of 5. Because of this school and I will never forget the day they told me i could no longer go there my entire world came crashing down and ever since then I have been dealing with a never ending world of debt this has been the biggest stress of my lifetime I hope no-one attends this school if they can't get to school on a Saturday unless you are favored to them they will let you go. I hope no-one ever has to go through what i am today because of this school.
As a former student I can say that I got the best quality of education I could have possibly got. My instructors went out of their way to make sure I would succeed. They were always there when I had a question or just needed someone to talk to. By the time I was done in the classroom and was on the clinic floor I felt prepared and confident. The atmosphere was amazing and that was initially what got me interested in the school. Besides learning cosmetology and growing as a cosmetologist, I grew as a person. I wouldn't change the time I had at school.❤️ Love what you learn.
I have been coming on and off to this school for five years. The girls are all so sweet! And make me look and feel young. I have always received compliments on my hair! After looking at some of the other reviews on here I am surprised at them: of course students take longer, duh. Didn't you read the sign? Every 8-10 weeks I pop into here and there are plenty of darling hair cuts/ color going on! If you want to look cute, help out students, and save some money- this is the place!
