I recommend anyone needing care for there pets go anywhere but but MED VET...
I had to take 5 orphaned kittens to MedVet for emergency care. While the staff could not save the poor little guys, everyone at MedVet treated me (and the kittens) with care and respect. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I wish I had a happier tale to tell, but I can say that MedVet did an excellent job.
MedVet is amazing! They saved my dogs life. I’d highly recommend them in an emergency situation. They were ready for him as soon as I walked in the doors and did such a great job caring for my dog throughout his entire stay. I truly felt he was in good hands and I’m glad I didn’t take him anywhere else. The staff there is incredible. Thanks to everyone there!
It was after hours our veterinarian was closed when our cat was in need of medical attention which forced us to go to MED VET where it seemed they where more concerned with us signing release forms and getting a $1300.00 deposit for an overnight stay then reevaluate in the morning for a course of treatment, meanwhile misdiagnosing his injuries after 3 hours under their care, our fur kid passed away.
We feel they were more concerned with getting money than the treatment that our cat really needed.
I took my 11 year old yellow lab in with breathing complications. My regular vet had diagnosed her with aspiration pneumonia and may have lingering effects, and sent us home. 2 days later she couldn't breath, foaming at the mouth and her lips and tongue where blue. I took her to MedVet, they had to put in a breathing tube. Yes they wanted $1,200 up front (I wasn't expecting that price) but my dog couldn't breath! After a long couple of hours they diagnosed her with laryngeal paralysis My vet didn't catch it. They wanted to do surgery then! I wanted a second opinion. Exactly 4 days later, she was in for tie-back surgery. The surgeon was top notch and saved my dog. However, there was no follow up appointment made, and when I tried to get in I would have a wait of 3 weeks. It was ridiculous. Why hadn't they made the follow appointment when I picked up my dog? I can't give them a five, because there were so many issues.....but surgery wise the staff is very knowledgeable!!!
The same feedback as nearly every other patient here- if I could give a negative rating, I would. My dog needed after hours emergency care. I brought him to this clinic, and instead of helping him immediately, the staff was only concerned about collecting money. For the two days Finn was there, the staff was primarily concerned about telling me how much I was continuing to rack up in costs (over $6,000), and little about the status of my young dog who was dying suddenly in front of my eyes. The front desk staff sits and laughs and gossips about people as you wait. Please think twice before going to this establishment for any kind of care. The focus in NOT animals, it is only about money. Go to Lewis Animal Hospital- the dr will help after hours at a completely reasonable cost. This was literally the worst experience of my life- I will never forget it. I kick myself daily for thinking that my pet spent the last hours of his life around these people.
