Good enough place as far as pet shops go. Every thing seems on the up and up. the animals seem well cared for, the staff members are friendly and good with the animals. prices are a bit high but they advertise a lot of things with the price.
Each and every time I visit Family Puppy I am pleased at what I see. The puppies are happy, clean and well-behaved. The staff is knowledgeable. If asked, they are able to tell you- in detail- the conditions the puppies are born into , how they are handled thereafter and so forth. The staff has even visited the premises where these puppies originated. I was so confident that I would get a healthy, intelligent and socially well-adjusted puppy, I bought one. I could not be happier.
My two teenage daughters (one turned 18 the month before) bought a dog there. They paid just under $2,400. for this puppy! And because they didn't have any money of course they (the owner) could help with that. The pet store set them up with a financing company. They have a 24 month loan. When they make their last payment they will have paid just over $5,000. for this dog! What!? They bought a Bichon Frise. It was definitely an emotional purchase. We had one before
This place is absolutely awful. The dogs are updated on shots but they're in poor health, my puppy has loads of problems. They're "free exam" has to be within 5 days (which no one even mentioned and I still have yet to find a 5 day period in his papers) and no vet that they provide would even see him within 5 days not to mention they're all 1-2 hours away, so i cant even get the free exam he was supposed to come with. He's good with people and other dogs but we've had to basically introduce him to the world (grass, rain, cars, wind, etc) I don't regret getting my dog, I love him to pieces and I'll get him fixed up but will be paying loads of vet bills on top of the $2000 that I already paid for him. I hope with every single ounce in me that all of these stupid puppy mills in this chain are shut down for good. I absolutely do NOT recommend buying a pet from here.
(paid $800. from a breeder)and she loved my dad, their Grandpa who lived with us their entire lives. Well my dad was never quite the same after our little Bichon died from complications of a surgery. And they bought this little Bichon that looks identical to the other one after losing their Grandpa, my dad. They wanted it to be a surprise or I would have helped them. They were totally taken advantage of. I cannot find a Bichon Frise breeder that charges over $900. and they all come with everything that was included with this puppy. Over double the price of the already ridiculously priced puppy on a 24 month loan!
Genetic testing is less than $500 through Pawprint genetics. So there is no reason to charge $2500 for ANY puppy sold; that’s A LOT MORE than recouping what they put into any dog I’ve seen advertised. Before purchasing from here ask yourself why places like PetSmart and Petco don’t sell dogs and cats. They’re big box chain stores so if it were that easy to raise, feed, and socialize dogs and cats in a store setting why haven’t they cornered the market on that yet?
You have to give them one star to even write a comment or trust me there would not be a star.
