(Suggest a review of personnel working the gift shop. The young lady with long hair working this particular day was rude. She unnecessarily freaked out on my 11 year old son inquiring about an item saying he was going to break it. She was huffing and puffing as she worked to refold shirts as if she was clearly irritated with them being disheveled. She was loudly bad mouthing a co-worker on her display skills and how said co-worker did not follow her instructions.)
Very educational about ships on the Great Lakes. There is a freighter there you can go on, we took self-guided tour although you can go on a guided one. Museum is handicapped accessible, freighter, for obvious reasons, is not. Very clean, organized, family oriented and worth the price, which is reasonable. Highly recommend.
Great place on the river fornt of Maumee reiver. It has a scenic front where one can enjoy the skyline of Toledo from the river front. the bridge over the river creates a great view. the park adjacent to the front has trails and makes the whole experience great. highly recommended place if watching cities and their skylines is a hobby for you!
Glad to see such a great place in my hometown. Visiting my parents with the kids and we all enjoyed our visit. The ship was fun to traverse and explore! The museum while not huge was informative and interactive.
Great collection of exhibits. Well worth the cost of admission. Plan to spend at least a few hours in the museum alone.
